The Book

The book “Fecundity” is the culmination of thirty years of research and acquisitions to constitute my collection “Fecundity in Art”. The book, size 22 × 28 cm, contains 242 pages of captioned images, photographs and reproductions, accompanied by short texts in French and English to explain the approach, introduce the chapters, tell the history and the small stories, guide the reader on the geography, the cultures, the ethnic groups, the interpretation of the images. It is not a book on biology, art history, nor anthropology, but just sharing visual pleasure. The iconography was prepared by a professional artist photographer, Eric Blanc (www.eric-blanc.fr) The book is dedicated, it is justified, to all the midwives of the world, traditional and modern, who have been working every day since the dawn of time to help women achieve their reproductive potential with the least possible risk.

It is available on request by email at vincentfauveau@gmail.com  and shipped according to current postal rates as soon as possible. The cost per copy is  39 € or 45 US $. Any order of 10 books gives right to a free additional copy. Part of the profits will be donated to an association working to reduce neonatal and maternal mortality around the world.
